2 Ways to Go From Your Desk to a Date

A FRENCH-BRAID PONY

If your hair is too creased from being in a pony all day to leave it down, try this easy updo. Start by French-braiding your hair two inches back from your hairline to the midway point of the back of your head, and then secure your hair into a ponytail with a clear elastic. "If your hair is fine, gain more control-pre braid by applying a pea-size amount of TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Wave Perfecting Gelee to the top section of your hair," John D. says. Then, tease your pony with a comb (or create a few curls if you have an iron) and get light definition and shine on the ends with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Mist.

THE NEW WAVE

"In the a.m., put your hair back into a bun when your hair is damp so that when you let it out at the end of the day, you have naturally have imperfect waves," John D. says. If you have a mini flat iron stashed in your desk drawer, "wrap sections of face-framing pieces — or those that need a bit more definition — two to three times (depending on your hair's length) around a flat iron that's open, not clamped. Then, flip the iron back and forth, starting from midway on [the] strands to create the cool-girl bends." Finish with TRESemmé Make Waves Shine Enhancing Cream just on the ends, he says.

Curvy" Model to Be Featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Move over, Kate Upton. There's another curvy model set to take the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue by storm.

US Weekly reports that model Ashley Graham will be featured in an ad for Swimsuits for All in the pages of Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit Issue. Graham, already an accomplished model featured in Elle and Glamour, said she's proud to celebrate her curves.

"I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too," Graham said in a statement about her new campaign for Swimsuits for All. "There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt."

Nebraska-born Graham, 27, is  model on IMG's roster who has appeared in major campaigns for Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Old Navy, among others. Business Insider reports that in 2010, a Lane Bryant ad featuring Graham in a red bra was pulled from TV for being too sexy (but the retailer insists networks simply weren't ready for sexy curvy women on screen).

Graham, who started modeling at the age of 12, spoke to The Edit about her self image, telling the magazine she faced challenges moving to New York to work as a model but got tough skin right away.

Hannah Davis Is the 2015 SI Swimsuit Issue Cover Model

Let all the speculating about which model lands the coveted cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue finally come to an end. The big honor goes to Hannah Davis.

The cover debuted on Wednesday night's episode of The Jimmy Fallon Show. Davis joined Fallon onstage to celebrate the big announcement (and had some fun at his expense).

Davis has modeled for Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Victoria's Secret among others. Sports Illustrated Assistant Managing Editor MJ Day called Ben Watt's shoot "perfection," in an interview that appeared on the sports magazine's website.

"I didn't think it could get better than Hannah's Jersey Shore shoot last year," said Day. "I gave [Hannah] a hug and the only words she could get out were, 'Are you sure? Is it definitely printed already?'"

Apparently no one was more surprised with the news than Davis herself.

"I told my mom there was no way I'd get the cover," said Davis. "I told her 'They do beaches for covers and I'm on a farm. There's no way. It's not possible.'"

The Odd Girls of Pop: Why 2015 Needs Gwen Stefani and Fergie

Gwen Stefani and Fergie are both back with new music and their timing couldn’t be better.

Gwen Stefani and Fergie are both back with new music and their timing couldn’t be better. We need you, ladies. The world needs you.

As it always tends to do, pop radio has been getting a bit stale lately—stale and unfriendly towards those it previously loved. While everything that Maroon 5 or Katy Perry release immediately goes Top 40 and tends to stay there for some time, the landscape of pop has been losing many of its biggest names. Artists like Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez have had a hard time reclaiming the thrones they once sat upon, and even Lady Gaga, once the promise of a genre critics laughed at, can’t chart a hit like she used to.

Democracy goes digital

Millennials are leaving modern democracy behind. We're always online, constantly communicating, the first to pick up on new tech innovations, and actively engaging with the world. We're always listening and learning, always aware, always inventing ways to make people's lives a little bit better. We're exactly the kind of people that politicians want on their side – so why hasn't Westminster done more to keep up?

Through our online surveys and our event last week, you've told us that you do care about the challenges and issues facing us today but that you're not sure which party, if any, represents you best. You said that if leaders want to engage, they need to do something more meaningful than hit the beach in a baseball cap, and that the archaic, difficult voting system puts some of you off. Bite The Ballot's latest innovation #LeadersLive aims to take care of all that.

#LeadersLive gives you the opportunity to put your questions directly to party leaders about what's really happening with issues like affordable housing, the cost of living, and the gender pay gap. Each leader, including David Cameron and Ed Miliband, have chosen three main issues they'd like to focus on, but you can cast your vote here to pick the fourth.

Less than 40% of the population are expected to turn out to vote next year – that means us millennials could have a bigger voice than ever. This is the first time Prime Minister David Cameron, Labour leader Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg of the Lib Dems, and Ukip's Nigel Farage will answer directly to us, and it all kicks off tomorrow night with Natalie Bennett, leader of the Green Party.

Remember – these people need our votes, so let's show them exactly what we want from them. Perhaps, if they know we care, they'll start taking what we care about more seriously.
