Curvy" Model to Be Featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Move over, Kate Upton. There's another curvy model set to take the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue by storm.

US Weekly reports that model Ashley Graham will be featured in an ad for Swimsuits for All in the pages of Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit Issue. Graham, already an accomplished model featured in Elle and Glamour, said she's proud to celebrate her curves.

"I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too," Graham said in a statement about her new campaign for Swimsuits for All. "There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt."

Nebraska-born Graham, 27, is  model on IMG's roster who has appeared in major campaigns for Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Old Navy, among others. Business Insider reports that in 2010, a Lane Bryant ad featuring Graham in a red bra was pulled from TV for being too sexy (but the retailer insists networks simply weren't ready for sexy curvy women on screen).

Graham, who started modeling at the age of 12, spoke to The Edit about her self image, telling the magazine she faced challenges moving to New York to work as a model but got tough skin right away.
