Model-off-duty style is a highly coveted and well-documented aesthetic. You know the look-captured at great lengths by Craig Arend, the founder and photographer of Altamira NYC, and then by just about every other fashion website in existence. It typically involves a leather bomber jacket, a super-skinny pair of jeans, a slouchy tee (emblazoned with an attitude slogan...or nothing at all), and a cross-body bag. Do you see her in your head, this fantastically disheveled-chic creature? Good. Because not only have her clothes become the topic of conversation, but so, too, has her hair.
Backstage at the fall shows, in fact, it was all anybody could talk about. Phrases like "lived-in texture," "cool-girl hair," and "the second-day look," were repeated more times than we could count. This is easily the most pervasive hairstyle since ombré caught on back in the days when Lauren Conrad was on television. (And interning here!)
